How long does it take to manufacture and install an awning?
Awnings are custom designed and manufactured so there is a lead time in order to have it manufactured. However, it certainly revolves around the size and complexity of the project regardless of it being a commercial or residential awning.  Time of year is also a major factor. Summer is the busiest time of year; therefore, this is the perfect time of year to get your new awning or canopy.
 
On average commercial awnings take 4 to 8 weeks from start to finish regardless of the season.  Residential awnings probably are 2 to 3 weeks this time of year and 3 to 6 weeks during the busy season.

How do I store a retractable awning in the winter?
Retractable awnings are self-storing when retracted. You can remove the outer hanging valance for storage in the winter, or you can leave it as is. Morgan Awning  offers winter removal of your awning if you would prefer.

How many styles of awnings are there?

Are awnings waterproof?
Overall, awning fabrics are water-repellent, not waterproof. In weather conditions that are not severe, an awning allows you to enjoy the outdoors.

Can I apply graphics to my awning?
Yes. The type of graphics depends on the awning fabric. Applying graphics to the awning fabric provides brand identity without the need for additional signs.

Does an awning need to be fire retardant?
Many locations require flame retardant fabric for commercial awnings. There are different fire codes throughout New England, and Morgan Awning can help advise you of those codes. Flame retardant awning fabrics are available in a many colors and styles.

Does my awning come with a warranty?
In many cases, awning fabrics are warranted for a period of 5 years or more based on the fabric. Other warranties on the workmanship or the frame may also apply.
